About the Workshop

The workshop will aim on developing new urban planning methodologies for the city of Damascus, Syria. The focus is on how we treat destroyed from the war urban fabric and develop more sustainable strategy to rebuild the city. The approaches we seek should go beyond architectural planning and go deeper into how we integrate existing and also create new economy and infrastructure for the city, which acknowledge the traditions and communal structure which used to exist and also build a new community for the future.
